I did get the calendar! It looks great! The other box hasn't come yet, but that's ok! haha.
Sounds like you had a great time at the temple with the missionaries! Must be fun for the temple workers to see so many missionaries all the time!
Is it snowing in Ftown yet? Its raining pretty good right now! I love the rain here! It's the closest thing we got to seasons! haha. But things should be cooling off here pretty soon!
Missionary life is going really well! This week really flew by because we had three Zone Conferences from Tuesday to Thursday, then Mission Leadership Council on Friday, and Conference on Saturday and Sunday! Zone Conference is when we have 2 or 3 zones get together and we train them on things we feel that they need, and PK talks to them about certain topics. We focused on the importance to not waste our time on people who are not elect, what to do and how to tell if someone is elect or not. Obviously its directed by the Spirit, but we just focused on the things that we can control. So that went well. MLC is usually just with the ZLs and Sister Training Leaders (STLs), but this time we had the DLs in with us. We trained on asking inspired questions and making sure we are teaching people, rather than just flying through a lesson without any of the investigator's participation. We've seen that the young missionaries struggle with being themselves and following the Spirit, so that's what we are focusing on! :)
About 60% of the missionaries in the mission have been out for less than a year, and the average Elder has only been out for 7 months!! So we are a young mission!! Nonetheless, we are going to step up to the plate and hit all of our goals! It's going to be a great last quarter of the year! Overall, the missionaries are obedient, they are teachable and willing to work, so I am expecting great things in the near future.
There was one talk yesterday (I forget who gave it) about being a true disciple of Christ, and Elder Green and I have been talking a lot about the concepts it talks about. We are amazed that people just go to church do everything they are supposed to do EXCEPT share the gospel with their friends. We are to be an example of the believers, but so many people think that only means do what's right, when it means share what's right as well! If we are truly not ashamed of the gospel of Christ like it says in Romans 1:16, we will share it with others!. I've committed to always share the gospel with those I come in contact with for the rest of my life. It's super simple to do, so that's what I'll do! :)
Thanks for all the support you give to me, Mom! I could have never gotten to this point in my life without you! I love you and hope you have a great upcoming week! :)
